Performing arts DANCE course

The Part Time Choreography & Dance Programme

has been developed to support artists to enhance their dance skills with the focus being on choreography. 

Therefore, the course is developed for both beginners through to advance levels.

The course practices innovative principles, to enhance choreographic skills.  In this way, students will develop, build and focus on competencies. These competencies serve to create and deliver effective choreographed routines.  Including, looking at world styles and dances, experimental and contemporary expression, the skills needed in order to develop the art of choreography.

Therefore, students will learn how to translate their vision into a creative routine, whilst developing customized compositions. 

Student awareness will grow, they will expand their horizons and techniques, learn about their own bodies, the use of space and rhythm.

The course will focus on particular dance styles including ballet, modern contemporary dance, and jazz and body contact technique. Students will also learn about technicalities such as stage lighting, stage props, sound, costumes, and hair and makeup.

The aim of the part time programme is to explore and understand listening, perception and body awareness through dance. The student will develop and refine skills such as movement through space, improvisation and individual creativity through sound stimuli. The course aims to stimulate individual creativity and allow it to flourish.

Work is under the care and guidance of industry professionals who support  students to use their skills in order to deliver and produce their own choreography, whether individually, in duo or in groups.

FEES

10 week course: £ 500

Student will receive a certificate on full completion of the course.

This will be offered by DANCE OF LIFE.  As the course is lead by industry professionals it is a training programme to prepare students for the professional world and unaccredited programme.  The programme incorporates the latest trends and styles in the world of dance, therefore, it is necessary that our tutors are industry professionals.
